Originally purchased by Vultee Aircraft in Nashville, TN in November 1940 and used in their factory making Vengeance dive bombers and other subcontracted parts for the war effort. I go into more detail on OWWM but briefly, that factory was one of the ones photographed to document the war effort. I saw a photo from the Vultee factory and identified the photographer. All of those war effort photos are in the Library of Congress. I found his photos and after looking through many hundreds of photos I found one with my band saw. A sign about wearing goggles that Vultee added is in the photograph and was still on the saw. I ordered a high definition file of the photograph and had it made into a poster for my shop.
