I bid on this lathe at an auction in Greenville, SC and lost it. Then I was able to purchase it off of Facebook Marketplace. It was one of two shipped to the Wadell Engineering Company in Passaic, NJ in September of 1944 by the Defense Plant Corp. It is classified as a 12” swing, but Monarch always underrated them. Whats interesting though is the actual swing on this one is 18.5”, and “2” RAISED” is noted multiple times in the build sheet.
