This saw was built using the plans published over two issues of Popular Mechanics in late 1947. The author of the plans and person behind the design was Elman Wood of Kitsap, Washington. Who built this version is unknown though it showed up in the vicinity of Kitsap, WA in 2024. This version of the saw is made largely of mahogany, and gives the impression of being well constructed. The plans suggest it was an immense amount of work to build, essentially from scratch.
I do not own this saw.
