The Lathe came out of the Southern Rail Road "BIG FOUR" Round house in the 60's. Yhere is nobody from that era to communicate with still living. My mother has pictures of her at turnapple where they turned the locamotive and coal car 180 degrees. She is 96 years old and has told me alot about the Rail road maintenance here in Mpunt Carmel,Il.
The old machine is fairly accurate fo being well over 100 years old.
