picked this up at a estate sale for 10 bucks not knowing what it was besides some sort of old! thickness planer, after paying for it & throwing it in the truck i went back in the cellar & found all the paper work for it.hmm, molder? after about a month i started investagating the manufacturer & wow they are still in business making the same machine & selling all the molding blades i could think of.so the restoration begun.a trip to their plant in newhampshire, left there 600 bucks lighter & some good info & a new color for the machine,i wanted to restore it to original, but after talking to them i didn't want to get into a 4 step process of painting it speckled, a couple of weeks blasting & painting.the machine comes to life.these things are great!! 1 pass & you have moldings,no sanding, just stain & poly & put'em up.why didn't i know about these before? but for the money they want for a new one,i don't think i would have bought 1 unless i was in business refinishing houses or something where i could make the money back.but all in all what a machine, its gonna be a long time before someone prys it from my dying hands! maybe after the house has all new woodwork i might start making picture frames.if you have a chance to get 1 of these i wouldn't hesitate,or if you build or refinish houses it will pay for itself in no time, have you seen the price of pine molding, not to mention oak or cherry or what ever else you want to make them out of.i have published the manuals on this site for this machine & also have the new manuals that i will get on there soon.i just recieved 2 more sets of blades from them today so i'll be busy making more moldings.
