These photos were sent to us in an attempt to identify the maker. The name is very difficult to read but it looks like it reads "?. ?. ZULL, / MAKER / CINCINNATI, O." The "ZULL" part is uncertain. Our best guess at the initials is "J. E. ZULL".

We looked for shear manufacturers based in Cincinnati and could not find anything that was a possible match. We looked for people or businesses named Zull in Cincinnati; there was a C. Louis Zull, probably a civil engineer, who is an unlikely match. His wife was Edna and daughter was Julia F.

Please let me know if you have a better guess on what the name is.
