Comments:
The brake was purchased at an online auction from a school district. It was likely unused and was in storage for some time.
This box and pan brake is in decent condition and was likely made in the early '60's. This brake appears to have the original brake stand.
The brake is missing the back gauge assembly which was likely removed and became separated from the brake when it was put into storage.
There appear to be extra fingers with this brake - with 6 of the six-inch fingers and other smaller sized fingers down to 3/4". Some of the fingers need to be resurfaced.
There is an older PEXTO Px-24 & PX-36 Box and Pan Brake (Operating Instructions and Parts Identification) manual that can be found online. That manual appears to match this Pexto brake model. There are two mystery brackets that came with this brake which do not seem to match any parts from the parts manual. These brackets were likely mounted to the top surface of the brake stand behind the brake and facing away from the brake.
