Bought this Delta Drill Press on Offer-Up. It had 1/2 hp motor, Ph 3 with regulator. Not having any knowledge of Ph.3, I put a Dayton 1/2 hp, Ph 1, 120 Volts, new motor on this drill press. This motor had a shorter than usual mounting plate, so I could only fasten it to the top 2 bolts on the drill press motor mounting plate, so might have to figure out another method of securing the lower motor plate. So far, how I've got it works fine. I took the main pieces off the drill, primed(Rust-Oleum Flat Gray # 7582838) and painted them, then put them back on the base and post. The finish paint I used was Rust-Oleum #7587, GLS Dark Machinery Gray from the Home Depot. The drill press came with a collapsible plastic safety shield over the drill chuck, and an aluminum, adjustable hold down for work on the table while drilling. I bolted an On/Off switch box on the right side of the machine using a bolt from the motor mounting; and Yes, if you want to do chin-ups on the box, it will slide down.
