I found this deluxe 6” model 37-220 near my home in west Ky. The previous owner had it for 20 plus years, and got it from his father after he retired from the military. It was mounted on an open splayed leg stand. I already had a 6” short bed jointer on a cast iron Art Deco base, but wanted the long bed on the CI base. I basically swapped the jointers to the other bases. I sold the 6” short bed jointer after I mounted it on the open leg base. Now I have the setup I’ve been waiting for, a 6” long bed deluxe jointer on the Art Deco base. It has the original 3/4 hp motor. I put new bearings, and cord, and plug on it. I took it completely apart, cleaned, stripped the paint that needed it, primed and painted it. I properly set new knives in the straight cutter head, and have it dialed in to make no snipe. Should be good for another 70 years.
