Found this bandsaw listed on marketplace at a more than reasonable price, jumped on it and was luckily the first to show interest after four hours of listing. It was in the house basement of the original owner who used it as a hobbyist. It was a bit dirty but I instantly knew I had found a real gem : basically no wear anywhere, the original paint is almost intact and all pieces where there! It came as a surprise, because the listing photos did not showed the miter gauge, the fence or the belt cover, but when I asked for it the seller had them all. I paid and hauled it back home in a hurry, and did not forgot to thank the seller many times!

I dissasembled it, cleaned and greased it, but did not changed the bearings as they roll like new ones. I had already ordered the replacements ones so I keep them if ever needed. I replaced the 1/2 hp motor with a 3/4 hp I had lying around and wired it with an amazon toyish magnetic switch. The saw is all cast iron and metal, not a piece of plastic except for the added switch, wich is quite evident when lifting the saw who weight around 300 lbs.

This is my third bandsaw in the 14"/15" category, and this one is the last I will ever need. I previously had a chinese delta and a canadian rockwell who both worked well, just not as well as this one. It runs smoother and quieter than both previous ones, the table is bigger and I have 1" more of resaw capability at 7¼". Even if larger, it is less deep overall, taking less space when not in use, and arguably the classier saw I have seen, the speckled gray paint is growing on me.
