The pattern shop I worked had 8 of these machines, one for each bench. They are the finest small/med sanders made. Very precise and heavy. I've looked for years for a single phase machine. Bought this one from a large home shop sale. Don't know it's history but it needed nothing. From my pattern shop days, I know Freeman was the sole distributor for State machines. I wish I knew the manufacturing date. Wonderful machine.
