Comments:
This saw was purchased in November 2023 in an online school auction from Keller,Texas ISD. The miter guage was included but no fence or blade guard. When I went to pick it up they brought out an Incra Ultra 72" rail and Ultra Jig fence assy and said this is part of that lot number.I said are you sure as it was not in the one and only picture from the auction site. When they said "yes", I just said Thank you very much! Nobody bidding on this saw knew about the Incra rail and fence or the price and interest level would have been higher. In my research on this site I found that the model number 34-761 corresponds to a 1.5hp single phase unit. This saw had to have been modified as it has a 3 phase 230/460 control box with OL protection,a Rockwell 3 hp 3 ph motor and control ??? It should have been a 34-764.
I really was bidding hard on a Powermatic 180 and PM 31 sander. Nobody was seriously paying any attention to this Unisaw, as a Beat up Weanie saw was drawing all the attention(the Saw Stop went for $1600). I ended up spending $350 plus tax on this Uni.
It is a 3hp 3phase and after attaching a vfd, it fired up and ran pretty strong and quiet. Lucky always rules the day!!
Update 01/07/2024 Finish rebuild and ready to go to work. Passed nickel test from start up to shut down.
