This machine, clearly badged "Worcester Machine Tool Co.", represents a transitional model between the designs built by P. Blaisdell prior to their merger into Whitcomb-Blaisdell Machine Tool Co. and the later, wholly different and unique designs of Worcester Lathe Co. after they had presumably dropped the other Blaisdell lines of drills and planers.
