Newspaper image of a Corliss Steam Engine from THE IRON AGE newspaper dated September 29 1881. This is not my newspaper and posted here w/permission of the owner.

Interesting to note that an image entry dated 01.28.14 for a 1908 article in "The Engineer", dtd 01 Jan 1908 on the Corliss Steam Engine Works and a steam engine shown bears a resemblance to the (reverse) image in the submitted info here.
