I got this band saw from a ship building company in Maine and joined this site to gain some knowlege about it. The saw is badged as a William H. Field Co. or Fieldbuilt saw. I have no idea about the model, year, or even sure about the manufacturer. According to this site, the company that has badged it may not be the actual manufacturer. What I do know is that it is a 32" band saw. I've tried it out and it works great. It dosent seem to have been abused at all, although at one point someone repainted it (poorly repainted). Some modern features have been added to it over the years including new switches, an electric motor brake, and some shielding to keep up with OSHA standards. Like I said it works very well and seems like it would be a very simple restoration. I have no use for a antique wood cutting band saw, but I recognized that it was an antique and didn't want that to go to waste. Like I said before, I joined this site to learn a little about this saw (hopefully someone will know more than I do about it), and possibly sell it to someone who is interested in a simple restoration of what I believe is a William H. Field Co. 32" band saw.
