Bought this at auction in Denver, it originally had babbit bearings, the fittings for those bearings were removed and pillowblocks installed with grease fittings. Got lucky and made friends with the only other OWWMer that might have bid me up(thanks again to Mike Spies for not bidding and helping get this beast home). It's 3PH, 5 HP, 2 knife cutter head and was originally sold by the Chicago Machinery Exchange. THe Mattison moulder sold at the same auction was purchased in 1928, so it's possible that this machine came from the same era, I'm not clear on when the Porter "B" was introduced. This machine still has fresh shavings on the frame, and came with 3 extra sets of blades.
