Comments:
The Craftsman badged drill press was made in 1949 at the Central Specialty plant in Ypsilanti Michigan. The Dunlap 1/3-hp motor is original to the drill press also and is dated 5/49. This Drill Press was bought by myself in July 2014 at a Used Tool Reseller (Mr. O'Tools, aka "The Museum" nothing ever sells...lol) in Utica Michigan for $100 to use on a local woodworking project I needed a smaller DP for. I sold it to a friend/customer in Canyon Lake Texas where I was also living and he sold it years to another friend/customer in Central Texas who I had also restored several machines for him in the past and then gave it back to me in March of 2022 up in Arkansas.

So, I just restored it using my custom mix of "King-Seeley grey Awl Grip paint even though it was still in very good original paint condition. I plan to give to a grade school buddy of mine back up in Michigan for use in his basement gun repair shop room work bench. This last two pictures were taken by me in his garage back in 2014 when I just found the drill press. Pictures taken behind his 1973 Z-28 Camaro in his garage.
