I purchased this lathe off EBay 10 years ago while taking a machine course from the American Gunsmithing Institute. These were the lathes used on PT Boats during WWII and if it was good enough for the Navy it should be a great training lathe. It works well for small projects and as I continue to learn it has become my best training small shop lathe. During the beginning I purchased almost all of the additional tools for this unit. You may be able to some of them on the bench.
