I Bought this drill press from a private individual. I've restored a few machines, but this one was a "doozie" and brought to mind a Question: "What The......?" as they had cut-off about 1/2 of the back part of the Belt/Pulley cover, to accommodate an oddball motor that was placed on a special made motor mount, and the motor was mounted above the top of the Drill press with a Step Pulley hanging down to drive the drill. The Drill was pretty rusty, so it took some time to get it ready for the paint. The Original Color was Blue, so the closest I came to it was: Rust-oleum 2X Painter's Touch, Paint and Primer Spray Cans, 334041 Gloss Navy Blue. I didn't want to put that oddball motor configuration back on, so I had an extra motor, and put it on, like it should have been mounted, got lucky, they still had the original motor mount on the machine. When I restore machines I always go the VintageMachinery site to research these machines that others have Posted, and I've learned a lot and it's helped Greatly.I had to buy and new Drill 1/2" Drill Chuck as the old one was bad. The Motor, I had to replace the odd one was a Delta, and it worked perfectly.
