18" Boye & Emmes lathe that my father bought in 1969. It is the machine that I learned on. Dad gave it to me and brought it to my place in 1985 after I purchased a house. Used it for many years. Inherited my dad's other lathe, 20" Flather in 2010. Didn't have room for 2 big lathes so I sold the B&E in 2011.
The lathe came from the Canonsburg Bridge Works. I worked there in the maintenance office in 1979 and I found the documentation on this machine. It was manufactured in 1924.
