I purchased this planer from a seller on the online auction service in PA. It was a buy it now auction. I already had two 18'' planers (one Oliver) but bought it any way. I did not think it would last very long, it had only been listed for about 8 hours. The knife grinder and dust hood were the deciding factors. I was able to talk my brother into making the 1100 mile round trip, one day. It looked ugly and was dirty, but well worth the money and distance. I have since sold the other two planers and plan to keep this one along time. All functions operate properly.
