I acquired this wonderful machine from the wood technology shop ar University of Massachusetts Amherst Department of Forestry and Wildlife in July 2023. The shop was used for many years by my valued and much missed colleague, Professor Bruce Hoadley, author of "Understanding Wood" and many other works on wood properties and identification. Bruce was director of the program "Building Materials and Wood Technology" for many years but the shop was relocated to other space and the jointer was surplus to their needs. For more information on Bruce Hoadley's life and career, see: https://bct.eco.umass.edu/news/remembering-r-bruce-hoadley-1933-2019/ and https://www.finewoodworking.com/2019/11/26/from-the-editor-remembering-r-bruce-hoadley
