Date of manufacture unknown . Acquired this in 1981 auction as working machine -- but worn. Scraped, cleaned and rebuilt it in 1982 . No records anywhere of Barber-Coleman ever manufacturing a surface grinder, but the Barber-Coleman name is molded into the casting. Drive is from a 2" leather-belt powered by a vintage 3-4 HP motor in the base . Appears that line-shaft drive may have been an option . 1910 - 1940 ??? Any info would be appreciated . This is, and apparently has been a working machine since it was manufactured.
