I picked up this lathe along with an atlas 912 band saw and a small atlas bench top drill press. I got all three at a very good price. At first I was going to repaint it but after I cleaned it up I decided to keep it in its original condition.
This lathe is only tagged as "Power king" and not "atlas power king" like my 912 band saw. So it must have been made before atlas bought Power king tool corp. From what I can tell atlas used all the Power king machines for there home woodworking line and this lathe is identical to the lathe that atlas manufactured for craftsman threw the 1940s.
To bad craftsman didnt sell the 912 band saw its a great saw for its size
