Bought this from a local auction April 2019. It was on a heavy wood base with 1 HP Dayton motor. This appears to be a well built saw with favorable posts by other members. Now completed on a base modified from a side table and set up for use as a metal saw with a 15:1 geared speed reduction motor obtained at another auction. This is a nice light duty saw. Will see how it stacks up compared the 50's 12" Craftsman II metal band saw. The bearings on the Dayton motor were seized and replaced with NACHI bearings for eventual use on something else.
