This delightful little fellow came to me via Mr. Squarehead, many years ago. It is I believe the only four inch Barton jointer to cross our paths. Although made almost entirely of aluminum, a long ago previous owner paired it with an unbelievably heavy 1/4 hp Emerson motor which he hid inside a delightfully conceived and executed stand (see photos) such that as a unit it is really not very well suited to jobsite use, isn’t very portable. Of course four inch jointers, as a class, aren’t taken very seriously. And I haven’t used it myself, though it is tempting to find a way to do that.
