Purchased this planer at a local school auction. I had no intent on bidding on this planer as I already had an Oliver 18" planer. I was there for a couple other Olivers. However, when they got to this planer I couldn't help myself but bid due to where the bidding was at. Much to my surprise I won the planer. And it was cheaper then what I paid for my 399. So I sold the 399. I would like to retore this machine but for the time being I'm using it as is. Typical school machine as far as condition. The interesting thing about this planer is that not only is it belt drive, but it is also single phase. Also, the cutter head is spec'd out to be at 5,000 rpm. Not sure why it is single phase as the other machines were 3 phase. Came with the grinder also. Nice machine.
