here is a really really nice pattern makers vise!!! A rare: WILHELM BAUM No. 8 pattern makers vise. When you reverse the handle to release the clamped object there is a clutch that lifts a robust brass threaded 1/2 yoke off of the gear mandrel so that you can quickly push in or out the clamp. A really simple and very effective elegant clamp vise...... Not much is known on these........Information is cast on front of vise. Made in South Haven, Michigan. This belongs to a 3rd generation woodworker and farmer in Eau-Claire Michigan. The vise was bolted to a beautiful woodworking bench.......
