This saw may be the earliest one posted here. It is the only Comet RAS I have seen anywhere with ‘Patent Applied For’ on the oval badge. There are cues on this saw that match elements of certain Skil branded radial arm saws. The cast cylindrical bearing housing (photo #1) is unlike any other Comet posted here but matches the design of several Porter Cable saws. And whiffs of Davis & Wells appear in the six lobed knobs. To my eyes a super interesting specimen which I would love to have purchased but I have no room and no justifiable need. So the photos will have to do. The Consolidated Manufacturing Co. badge in the sixth photo is also important.
