In 1965 my father rescued the machine from the town dump in Acton, MA. He confirmed the motor electrics and designed a replacement variable control circuit for it, then gave it to my grandfather in Wells, ME. My grandfather then made an oak & galvanized pipe banjo/tool-post for it and it served light duty for his model railway hobby and some custom balustrade in his house. He passed away in 2012, whereupon my father & I moved it to my workshop in Littleton, MA. I'm cleaning it inside & out while dad's designing a new controller for it (including reverse capability) which will take full advantage of its 230V potential.

I'm hunting for an appropriate vintage banjo for 12" swing and 1" tool posts, but it may end up with a new OneWay 12" banjo. We'll see how that goes. The OneWay banjo is expensive and I would need to make a clamping block. Either way, I think it will be worth the added "jewelry" when it's cleaned up.
