Machine was purchased 10-2019 in Stuart, FL in less than favorable cosmetic but solid mechanical condition (not running). Through some "snoop and poop" investigative work regarding a barely legible dealer tag I was able to discover the machine was sold by Kutsche's harware on Monroe street in Grand Rapids, Michigan who started in business 1862 and remain open to this day (103 years in same location). I did contact them for a replacement dealer decal but no luck. Machine underwent a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration from stem to stern and riser block added. Repowered with a 1hp Delta RI motor, admittedly a bit large in size for the saw but really gives it a low center of gravity. Returned to service 4-2020 where it remains set up with a Timberwolf 3423VPC (3/4" 2-3 variable tooth) blade, dedicated to resawing kiln-dried domestic hardwoods (mostly oak) in smaller sizes where it does an exemplary job. I've had days of resawing hundreds of bf 38" long x 6" tall x 2" thick red oak into 1" boards and the old 1hp RI motor is very much enough power for the task. Overall the machine is a joy to use and a staple in my small shop.
