Acquired from a seller on Craigslist in Connecticut. I was told the he had bought the machine on an online auction from Canada from a fellow in his 90's who'd likely owned the machine for several decades. The machine was shipped from the Great White North to CT. Upon inspection the machine appeared poorly out of adjustment and cut showing every "tell tale" of misadjustment in the manual. We separated the upper from the base and loaded into my Subaru Outback with a tractor.

At home in NJ I discovered the machine had a cracked table. There was other evidence including a bent clutch lever which leads me to believe the machine was dropped, possibly during shipping to P/O. This devastating turn of events was followed a couple weeks later with a hail mary miracle.. An affordable parts machine with a clean table 20 minutes from home. Grateful for the OWWM community on that one.

I fully tore down, cleaned and painted the machine in November/December 2022, upgrading the cutterhead with a Byrd Shelix cutter. Shop made mobile base made from local NJ Red Oak and Walnut. Parts machine is a 1954 vintage machine as stamped on column from PO twice removed. That machine came from an estate clean out in Somerset NJ.
