I acquired the Band Saw from my Grandfather's Estate back in ~ 1984. My Grandfather was the Chief Patternmaker for The Geo. D. Roper Company (Rockford, IL). At some point, my Grandfather purchased this Band Saw from The Geo. D. Roper Company, for his personal shop use.

The machine has not been run since ~ 1984. It has been stored indoors and is in relatively good condition. The machine has Original guarding, and appears to have had some Upgrades to the guarding, which is very solidly constructed. The Sub-Table; Table Stop; and Adjusting Nuts are not present (I would like to acquire these parts). The machine has been well maintained; and shows little rust. I suspect it will run well, when I get to that stage. I plan to assess the machine and potentially rebuild as needed, before putting to good use in my home shop.
