Comments:
Very odd Parker 953 bench vise, only one like it I can find. Unlike the other more normal 953/973 vises with 3" wide jaws, these measure 3-1/4", and rather than having the jaw inserts retained by pins driven thru the top, this vise uses screws thru the clamping faces. No parts of this vise even come close to interchanging with a couple other Parker vises I have. Thread on main screw is much finer, handle is much more robust. Very strange vise, if anyone has a similar one, I'd love to hear from you.
