Recently acquired from granddaughter of original owner (October 2022). Was not in usable condition. Lightly restored and cleaned with sculpted parts to get the machine working again. Disassembled and realigned Jacobs chuck. Ground securing bolt and 1/2" spline. Ground teeth on drive wheel so it could run cleanly. Cleaned, oiled and greased moving parts. Now drills straight, slight wobble still with chuck. Once cleaned could read "The Silver Manufacturing Co" and "526" on toothed drive wheel (and larger flywheel). Timber addition probably for belt from tractor engine. "No 1/2" and "525" clearly visible on body.
