Picked this up in December of '19 for $20 after spotting it in a CL ad. Although it ran fine I really bought it for the Retirement Light, then it sat on a bench for just over 2 years. The bold embossed "Delta" kept grabbing my eye until I finally saw it's future. Early this year I decided to give it my time tear it down. Surprisingly there were no worn parts or even the usual pile of broken blades and saw dust in the oil reservoir, seems it was hardly used in all its years. Most all the parts were there, but I had a few extras on hand along with a VS setup and cover, Cutler Hammer switch and other parts. It came with an old GE motor that ran, but I still wanted a Delta along with a welded 716 stand to match the era. Midway through finishing a bolted splayed stand for this I saw an ad for an early 50's scrollsaw which had a motor and the 716 stand I wanted. Although the motor's a bit newer I just went with it. The stand, although thick in brushed on paint was perfect. Degreaser, wire brushed, E-Tank, Scotch brite, new paint, bearings, decals and so on... 5 months later on and off and the phoenix has risen from the ashes! I really like how this one turned out, runs great and fun to work with. Since there's no serial tag, my best guess after looking through various catalogs and comparing parts is 1935.
