Comments:

The last patent date cast on the bed is 14-Apr-1896.
This was originally a treadle version but was converted to electric motor via a wall mounted countershaft in the 1930's by the previous owners father.
This machine was further modified by the previous owner in the 1980's by mounting it on the current steel frame with a countershaft and the 1930's reluctance motor.
I obtained this machine in 2007 and after several repairs it is now fully operational.
