4" wide jaw machinist vise. Swiveling base. Stamped 'Morgan Chicago 140'. Belonged to my wifes grandfather. I do not know the history beyond that, but the vise was likely new to him. It was in a garage fire where his garage fully burned and collapsed. The vise was unharmed obviously. I obtained it after the passing of my wifes grandmother. I took it apart, gently cleaned it, but preserved as much 'beusage' as I could, greased everything up, and gave the jaws a wire brush to clean the grooves. I also mounted it on a lipped wooden base which can be pinched between dogs on my bench since I do not use this often. Super heavy and it works amazing!
