These are photos of my rare Moak 26" all Cast Iron bandsaw manufactured in 1966. Talking to Ron Smith of Moak Repair parts, he stated that very few were made probably only 300-400 hundred or so, with the last 26" being made about 1972. I am waiting on a new cast brake pedal and misc. parts from Ron before I start the restoration. The saw is in really good condtion so I will not have to do a lot. I purchased the Saw at an Auction in Salem Indiana April 2005 from the Childcraft company, who built childrens furniture. They used the Saw in a small section of the building to cut small parts so the saw was never abused, the reason for the excellent condtion, as purchased. The origional owner was a small Cabinet company also in Salem Indiana called The Smith Cabinet company who purchased it from Moak as related to me from conversations with Ron Smith. The Brass Badge that Smith Cabinet put on the machine is still afixed. Smith Cab. went out of business and sold the 26 to the second owner Childcraft, with the third owner now me. I had looked a long time for a saw at this size and finally found one, really made me happy to get it. The saw has about 15 1/8" under the guides 25 3/4 'width of cut and has the origional General electric 1150 rpm motor 2hp 3Phase. Also has a hand lever geared tilt table about 26'x28'. This is a very heavy 26" bandsaw about 2000 Lbs. All in all really a beautiful piece of American Iron.
