I was actively looking for a 12" Delta Disk Sander and came across an add in CL for something that looked like a disk sander, but it had a secondary disk setup. Now this got my interest! I immediately went to look at it and bought it. It appears someone in its' history got the brilliant idea to create a double sided sander. He basically took a complete sander and one without a motor. The older delta motor was a natural for this Franken-Modification! The creator cut the bases just flush with a re-enforcement rib on the underside and bolted them together. One can see that modification in the pictures. The sander runs as smooth as silk! I have a combo 12" sander, but with this mod, one can sand both side of your work just by switching from one side to the other. Really like it!
