Comments:
I acquired this at a garage sale and know nothing about its history. It is a 12" lathe with power cross feed, taper attachment and both belt and gear driven carriage feed. Based on the features, I believe it was manufactured between 1901 and 1907. It came with a variety of accessories, including 3 and 4 jaw chucks, 12" face plate, steady rest, full set of threading gears, various dead and live centers, a set of lathe dogs, tailstock chucks and a good set of square wrenches.
Overall, the lathe is in excellent condition. It is rust free, the ways are straight with minimal wear and I have not found anything that is non functional. I have not inspected the Babbitt bearings but they seem to be in good shape, based on how it is cutting.
