I saw this incomplete planer unit on Craigslist in San Diego summer 2022 and summarily found that there were no planer photos included in the Vintage Machinery photo database for any Superior Machine (only several jointers) so I felt compelled to upload these for the historical record. Given the information about the company I assume this tool is circa 1890 to 1910. I assume it's a 14" as it looks that big to me but could be a 12". It's suggested use was yard art or work table. It's such a shame to see vintage 1800's pieces like this go to waste. As we know, not many around from that era.
