Ran across this one while hunting for an entirely different tool and after doing some informal digging on it and everything included, I went ahead and picked it up. According to Clausing's records, it was made sometime in 1967, but I'll have to take them at their word because I've been unable to find any other serial number/date info on it.
Lathe is in really good shape and just needs some TLC and a good setup. It came with a very stout cabinet base with drawers and a BUNCH of tooling and accessories. I am evidently the 3rd owner of this machine and it doesn't seem to have had much use over it's life. It had some pretty gummy oil residue on the ways and ends of travel of the sled and compound were sticky, so that all got cleaned up and I lubed per the Atlas lube docs. Much smoother now.
I have almost no idea how to run one of these, but I always wanted to get into machining so no more excuses. :)
