I got the machine off a Craigs List add in Hays, Ks for $40. The POs (an elderly gentleman and his wife) said her father had bought it new in the early 60s. They inherited it when he passed and they needed to sell it because it was seldom used and heavy - they were moving in two days. It has now gone to my son-in-law in Colorado.

The saw after restoration. New arbor bearings, stripped and repainted everything except the interior. It was in remarkable original condition and just needed a good cleaning.

The saw in as purchased condition in the PO’s garage in Hays, Ks. Note the 58 Buick peeking out in the top right of the pic. It got inspected before the saw. WOW!

Never having worked on a table saw of any sort before, let alone a Sears model, I’ll take less that 2 thousands runout most days and twice on Sundays.

We decided to swap out the wings, fence and mitre gauge for those off a Craftsman 100 saw. I like the fence much better. The wings are also cast iron now.
