Bought at a going out of business auction for local construction company in Kinsley, KS for the grand sum of $50.00. The PO, who was in his 70s, said his father started the company in the 1950s and undoubtedly bought the saw around the time he started the company. He also said that as far back as he could remember, he never remembered the saw running. It was always just sitting in a shed in storage. The arbor tilt and raise/lower mechanisms ran thru their entire range of motion quite easily. The only thing I found wrong was that the motor pulley had been replaced by some weird, oversized pulley with a press in “arbor reducer” to try and make the pulley fit the Dayton motor that was on the saw. It didn’t work and the pulley was basically free wheeling on the shaft w no key in the keyway. I just removed the pulley from the shaft by hand. It was quite loose, and no scoring on the shaft that I could see. All the internals appear to be in good working order, tho it has not been disassembled for restoration yet. Time will tell.

In my garage later the next day - along with the other goodies I picked up that day: a FFU and an Atlas 912 Bandsaw.

The only thing I did prior to storage (other than pull the motor) was to do a quick cleaning of the top and grease it with axle grease. It will be sitting in an unheated shed until I can get to it. Some minor defects in the mitre slots.
