This vise made its way from NY, where it was manufactured, to Europe early in the 20th century, where it was purchased and used, before finding it's way back to N. America (Alberta, Canada) with the original owner, who continued to use it until he passed away, after which it sat in a garage for a couple of decades before finding its way to me. It has a unique locking mechanism for the swivel mount that I have not seen on any other vice. Has not been cleaned up yet. Traces of red paint on it. Turns as smoothly as the day it left the factory.
