This gage is the last style change to the Auto-Set miter gages. Both corners have an exagerated clip.

The age of this style isn't exactly known. An assumption is being made that Delta adopted this style in 1941 when they first began to use the Delta/Milwaukee brand name. One of the major differences, besides the exagerated corner clips on the gage head, is the casting in of the Delta/Milwaukee brand name along with the words Auto-Set Miter Gage.

Also present on this gage are the U.S. and Canadian patent numbers found on earlier gages (see Photo Index submissions 4220 and 4221).

This style is still sold to this very day but Delta of Penthair vintage did manage to rob it completely of its soul and have absolutely no class at all.
