Comments:
I found this cast iron jointer in a scrap yard. It was mostly complete (the capacitor and some bolts were missing) but in 3 pieces. I disassembled the motor, replaced the bearings, and installed a capacitor. I cleaned the rest of the machine, replaced the cutting blades with new 6" x 5/8" x 1/8" Freud Jointer knives. I wired it to run on 220 volts and mounted it on an a Craftsman table saw frame. It runs beautifully.
