The information I have entered is from the serial card that I received from South Bend/Grizzly. The actual number stamped in the bed is 2222TKX, which really doesn't follow any of the standard numbering conventions. The X denoted a custom configuration of some kind, but there should be a number following the letters from everything I have read. After all the research I have done, it seems that this piece is a bit of a Frankenstein. From all of the reference material out there, old catalogs and such, it looks like the head stock and quick change gear box are that of earlier models, while the apron and carriage look like they could be of that 1951 time frame.
