I purchased this lathe from a local body shop in the late 1980's. The body shop owner was an avid flyer and had purchased the entire contents of a airplane manufacturing company I believe located in Georgia. His thoughts were to manufacture a small stunt plane himself. Not being a machinist he put this and several other machine tools up for sale. When picking up the lathe I moved a number of the other machines for the seller with my backhoe that I had brought to load the lathe on my lowboy. For the assistance in moving the items he allowed me to pick through the many pallets of stuff and said I could have anything that would be used on the lathe. It was a gold mine. I got a tailstock turret, 5C collet chuck, numerous 5C collets, 12" faceplate, 2- 12" 4 jaw checks, and tons of tooling. It has been a great lathe for a home shop.
